Xi Yujin decided to film a Primordial Myth epic!

"Heaven and earth, dark and yellow; the universe in primordial chaos" refers to the era when the world still existed in a state of formless disorder. On Earth, the people of Huaxia had developed, through ancient novels, folk mythology, and web fiction, all kinds of elaborate Primordial Era mythological systems. Each author's version differed slightly, but they generally began with Pangu creating the world and ended with the Journey to the West.

Back when Xi Yujin had been creating the Canghai and Qiongtian persona, he had considered writing a Primordial Era story. But without the necessary cultural background, it would probably be difficult for alien audiences to immediately grasp the mythology. But now, the conditions were perfect.

Besides, filming a Primordial Myth on a gas giant was insanely cool!

Inspiration surged through him. He scribbled all over his draft notes, circled the gas giant several more times, and recorded various details he might be able to use.

He and Gano returned to the starship belt, preparing to discuss the script in detail with the actors. Unexpectedly, they ran into Soma.

Soma blinked shyly at him, every eyelash on every eye trembling, completely unlike its usual carefree self.

"Um… Mr. Yujin?"

Xi Yujin instantly became alert. "Not me, wasn't me, I'm Wenhuo!"

Soma looked at him pitifully and corrected itself. "Alright, you're not. Mr. Wenhuo, then you must be a Blue Planet native, right?"

Xi Yujin relaxed his shoulders. "That part is true…"

"Wenhuo! Let me stay by your side!" Soma immediately lunged forward and hugged Xi Yujin's thigh, or at least it thought it did. In reality, it had latched onto Gano's empty armor. Throwing dignity aside, it wailed, "I still haven't written my internship report!"

The moment Xi Yujin heard the word internship, sympathy welled up in him. Why did exploiting interns still exist even in the interstellar age?

Kindly, he said, "As it happens, I do need your help. My next project requires a visual design assistant. You've seen so many derivative works before, and I've always trusted your abilities."

"Wenhuo, sob sob sob, I'll work hard!" Tears streamed from Soma's many eyes as it vigorously rubbed itself against Gano's empty armor. Gano silently decided to clean it later.

Xi Yujin then showed Soma his conceptual sketches for the Primordial Myth project.

Unfortunately, Xi Yujin's drawing skills were rather terrible. Even with assistance from Gano's neural interface, it was difficult for him to clearly express the images in his mind.

Soma carefully examined the bizarre, almost cursed-looking lines, then looked at Xi Yujin, who was pretending to be innocent while radiating the unmistakable aura of a demanding client. Soma's intern instincts immediately kicked in, and it hastily revised what it had been about to say:

"I'll… do my best…"

Xi Yujin planned to recruit even more talent and continued strolling around the starship belt.

There, he saw Aila, the tour guide he had first met in the starship belt. Since he couldn't tell Aila and Tula apart, he mistakenly assumed Aila was the same person who had volunteered for labor last time, so he asked whether it could help again.

Aila was overwhelmed with delight. "M-Me?"

"Your Personality Stealth was incredibly good! I'd wanted to volunteer at the Actors' Center before, but work isn't just my interest, it's also my duty," Aila said. "But if you're inviting me personally, that's different. I'm willing to volunteer! I'll make full use of my strengths!"

Only then did Xi Yujin realize that this Aila wasn't the volunteer from last time. Ah, having no hair really did make faces hard to distinguish. Fortunately, no major misunderstanding had occurred.

He arranged a time for Aila to come help.

Aila was overjoyed, but the moment it turned around, it saw Tula gnashing its teeth in frustration.

"Tula, what are you doing here?" Aila asked in confusion. "You already cleaned this area earlier."

Tula shouted, "Damn it! It's not like I wanted to do volunteer labor anyway!" Then it rode off on its broom-shaped hover disc, leaving Aila utterly bewildered.

The Starship people believed emotional fluctuations should not be too extreme. Behavior like Aila and Tula's seemed perfectly normal to other species, but among Starship people, it was considered emotionally extreme. An older Starship passerby sighed worriedly:

"The younger generation's emotions really have become much more extreme…"

Its muttering gradually faded into the air.

"Peace. We should bring peace."

"How can we achieve peace?"

As soon as news of Xi Yujin's Primordial Myth script spread, many actors came flocking to him by reputation alone. Other alien artists looked on with envy, if only they too could receive the same star-like adoration as Blue Planet creators.

However, before filming could even begin, Xi Yujin ran into a major problem.

Gas giants had nowhere to land. And the Starship actors were nowhere near as physically powerful as Gano. They could only remain in spacesuits, stationed on the gas giant's moons.

The gas giant had eight moons, all orbiting along its equatorial plane while also rotating on their own axes. Including the tiny hidden moon concealed within the planet's storm systems, there were nine in total.

They first built a filming platform on one of the geologically stable moons. Staring at the enormous gas giant that seemed simultaneously so close yet unreachable, they found themselves at a loss for how to proceed.

"Perhaps we should ask the museum curator about the technical issues," one of the Starship people suggested.

Xi Yujin grew even more curious. "Why the museum curator? They handle this sort of thing too?"

Under the guidance of the Starship people, he and Gano arrived at a corridor that outsiders were not allowed to enter freely. As they walked, the Starship person introduced the different areas:

"That is our incubation chamber. All newborns are born there. We have no concept of family, nor do we engage in romantic relationships… That is the food cultivation chamber. It is fully automated, and every day, a batch of old reserves is disposed of. This controls the level of waste that exists to prevent emergencies… And over there is our crematorium. After death, we become glimmer particles."

"Glimmer particles are your ashes?!"

Xi Yujin tried his best not to sound rude.

But this was far beyond what he had expected… He couldn't stop his pupils from trembling in shock.

"Yes," the Starship person replied, apparently finding nothing unusual about it. "Glimmer particles are a very important part of our biotechnology branch. After death, we are solidified through art. Art paves the way to peace. This is our destiny."

Gano silently listened to the Starship people explain their philosophy, feeling increasingly irritated.

They arrived inside the museum, which had been closed to visitors for a long time. Waiting there was an elderly Starship person named Wengla. After hearing their request, Wengla fixed an unwavering gaze on Xi Yujin.

The Starship person explained, "Blue Planet's works are currently ranked forty-fifth. That qualifies them."

"Forty-fifth… that does indeed contribute to the spread of peace," Wengla said in a deep voice. Among the Starship people themselves, eighty of the top hundred rankings belonged to them. For Blue Planet to break through that dominance was not something to be underestimated.

"Our glimmer particles have more powerful variants, enough to fulfill your requirements," Wengla continued. "But those were created from the cremated remains of Starship people from long ago. Their quantity is limited. Every use consumes a little more."

Silently, Xi Yujin prayed that if an underworld existed in this universe, the dead would forgive them.

"First, tell me about your script," Wengla said. "Use these particles to demonstrate it. Prove that you are worthy."

Having just learned that these glimmer particles were literally someone's ashes, Xi Yujin still felt psychologically conflicted about them. Besides, manipulating glimmer particles required neural interfaces, and he didn't even have one. But he wasn't about to back down.

So Xi Yujin…

…manually created a batch of gemstone particles.

Recently, he had become much more familiar with the structure of his own body. His soul required a vessel, and so his stellar true form constantly supplied him with matter. Any excess stellar material that he couldn't contain was stored in a mysterious space woven from his spiritual power, perhaps some kind of miniature universe. The ores he consumed were directly burned down and decomposed by the star itself.

He could control the heavy elements he emitted, shaping them under extreme heat into different compounds. For now, he couldn't make anything too complex, so they were limited to minerals, and only in dust-like particle form.

At this point, he had gained a third skill in addition to dragging asteroids into his orbit and giving plants sunlight: handcrafting gemstones!

The watching Starship people were so stunned that their jaws nearly dropped.

They had never seen anything like this before!

Blue Planet's Yujin… what exactly are you?!

Only Gano looked thoughtful.

According to the law of conservation of mass…

Could Yujin's true body actually be enormous?

Xi Yujin produced colorful gemstone fragments, then used gravity to fuse them into a sphere as best he could, beginning his narration of the world's beginning. The sphere gradually shattered into countless particles, forming an awe-inspiring primordial world.

"In the time before heaven and earth were separated, the world existed only as a mass of primordial chaos. The chaotic essence dispersed and gathered again, giving rise to countless immortals and demons through resonance. At that time, there was neither good nor evil, and consciousness had yet to awaken.

One stream of primordial essence transformed into Hongjun Patriarch, who had already attained the Great Dao. Gazing upon another stream of primordial essence, Pangu, he instructed him in the path of transcendence.

Pangu possessed the head of a dragon and the body of a serpent. With each breath, thunder and lightning shook the world. When he opened his eyes, day arrived; when he closed them, night fell. Having listened to Hongjun's teachings, he resolved to stand and separate the murky heavens from the earth. Each day he pushed them one zhang* farther apart, until at ninety thousand zhang, Pangu exhausted his strength and died. (T/N: A zhang (丈) is a traditional unit of length of about 3.3 meters.)

His body transformed into the vast primordial world. His eyes rose high to become the sun and moon; his muscles sank into the earth as fertile land; his blood flowed into winding rivers; and his skin and hair scattered into plants and trees.

His primordial spirit became the Three Pure Ones: the Supreme Laozi, Yuanshi Tianzun, and Tongtian Jiaozhu. Blessed by Pangu's merit, they were born already enlightened to the Dao.

His blood essence transformed into the Twelve Ancestral Shamans, who walked the primordial lands, living for centuries without their strength fading…

The innate primordial essence further condensed into Taiyi and Nuwa before finally dispersing into all other living beings. Drawn by the search for primordial essence, countless immortals and demons descended upon this world, both to propagate life and to seek enlightenment.

Nuwa deeply felt the loneliness of the primordial world and thus molded humans into existence. Taiyi, obeying Hongjun's will, entered the primordial world to enlighten all living things.

And as vitality first began to flourish across the primordial lands, the conflict between the dragon and phoenix clans gradually intensified…"
